Effortlessly match job seekers with companies through a simple swipe left or right

Based on key insights from the founder, which were fundamental to their business idea, I closely collaborated to transform their vision into wireframes and prototypes that promote bias-free recruitment. While designing the user flows, I also developed a design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and a cohesive user experience. Continuous refinement and feedback helped shape and enhance the final design.
Background
When Ida and Veronica approached me with their idea for Savvy Match, their mission was clear – to transform recruitment by eliminating bias and discrimination. With years of industry experience, they had witnessed candidates being overlooked due to gender, age, and ethnicity. Their vision was to create a platform that prioritises skills, culture fit and potential to match candidates and companies.

My role was to design the user flow and the service for candidates and employers for the development team. Ida and Veronica brought deep recruitment expertise from both perspectives. We defined the MVP together, and I crafted an intuitive, seamless experience for all users.

Being part of this project has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to have helped create a platform that drives fair and unbiased hiring.
My contribution in this initiative
  • Research
    In the research phase, I focused on inspirational desktop research, exploring diffrent matching platforms and best practices in bias-free hiring. This helped shape the design direction and user experience. Ida and Veronica provided the key insights, drawing from their deep industry experience, which formed the foundation of the platform's core features and vision.

  • Setting the design direction
    When wireframing for Savvy Match, I mapped core user journeys for candidates and employers to ensure the platform promoted bias-free recruitment. I created low-fidelity wireframes to visualize key interactions and features, collaborating closely with Ida and Veronica to refine the design direction and align it with their vision. This process laid a solid foundation for the next stages.

  • Designing the overall experience
    In the next phase, I focused on designing the overall user experience, refining the platform’s functionality and visual identity through continuous iteration with Ida and Veronica. We worked closely to ensure that every design decision reflected their vision. I established a design system to create consistency and ensuring that components, typography, and interactions were cohesive and intuitive, aswell making future development more efficient and scalable.

  • Implementation
    Once the design was ready for implementation, I collaborated closely with the development team to ensure a smooth transition from concept to code. I provided detailed design specifications, interactive prototypes, and clear documentation from the design system to guide development. Throughout the process, I remained involved to address questions, refine details, and ensure the final product stayed true to the original vision.
